We have gotten a lot of positive feedback about this, including from Astrud, herself! :) What we mean is that Astrud has always admired Frank Sinatra’s work and feels quite honored by the fact that one of her vocals is being presented in connection with Sinatra’s. - We have posted an extensive interview with Astrud, with questions posed by some of her friends in an informal chat style. To read it, you may click here. - We are proud to announce that Astrud Gilberto has been inducted to the "International Latin Music Hall of Fame" in April of 2002. - Lifetime Achievement Latin Grammy Award: In a ceremony at the Hobby Center for the Arts, in Houston Texas, on November 12, 08, acclaimed Brazilian record producer and sound engineer Antonio "Moogie" Canazio received on behalf of Astrud Gilberto the Latin Recording Academy's "Lifetime Achievement" Grammy Award. Astrud thanks the members of the Academy for electing her to be the recipient of this special award, and Mr. Canazio for accepting this meaningful homage on her behalf.
