 COMPILATION CD, SIGNED OR WITH A PERSONAL DEDICATION BY ASTRUD

This is a new copy of "The Astrud Gilberto Album" (The Silver Collection), one of Verve's best selling releases of Astrud Gilberto's recordings, featuring some of the best known songs recorded by Astrud Gilberto.  The Grammy-award nominated original "The Astrud Gilberto Album" was the first album presenting her as a solo artist.  This is the album that popularized many of the bossa-nova songs by Jobim, which became recognisable "standards" world wide, such as "Meditation", "Once I Loved", "Agua de Beber" and "How Insensitive".  To the original songs featured in the original "Astrud Gilberto Album", several other songs were added (from other best selling original albums), producing a CD with over 60 minutes of re-mastered memorable original recordings.  Arrangements by Marty Paitch, Gil Evans (one of Astrud's idols), Don Sebesky, Al Gorgoni and Eumir Deodato, not to speak of the fabulous musicianship of all players/participants.

CD's outer wrapping will be removed, to allow for Astrud Gilberto to sign or write a personal dedication on its front cover.

We will accommodate requests for special occasion messages such as "Happy Birthday", 'Happy Anniversary" or "Get Well". Keep in mind that the exact wording of any personal dedication will be at the sole discretion of Astrud Gilberto.
